Dear Donors,
Thank you for your support and for standing with us to protect wildlife and ecosystems in Nigeria. Your commitment to conservation gives endangered species like vultures a fighting chance.
Vultures are rapidly disappearing in Nigeria due to illegal hunting, traditional rituals, and wildlife trade. Their decline disrupts ecosystems, as these birds naturally clean up carcasses and prevent the spread of disease. Without intervention, communities face rising health risks and ecological imbalance. The “Breeding Programs to Save Vultures from Extinction” project will establish controlled breeding sites to raise healthy vultures in safe environments. Once mature, these birds will be released into protected habitats to restore wild populations. The project also engages schools, communities, and traditional practitioners, educating them on the importance of vultures and providing sustainable alternatives to rituals involving vulture parts. Volunteers will be trained to monitor populations and report sightings, creating a network of local conservation champions.
While the donations received so far are appreciated, they are not yet sufficient to launch the project. We still need your support to kickstart this initiative, restore ecological balance, and empower communities to protect their natural heritage.
Warm regards,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
