Thank you for standing with American Aid (A A Relief) as we work to bring clean, safe water to 11,000 underserved people in Eastern Uganda’s Butebo, Bukedea, and Kumi districts. This project exists because families are still relying on contaminated rivers and open ponds—putting children, mothers, schools, and health centers at daily risk. Clean water is not a luxury here; it is the foundation of health, dignity, and survival.

Today, we are at a critical point in our journey. We have made real progress, and we are deeply grateful—but we urgently need additional support to continue and complete the remaining wells so no community is left behind.

Progress Update (This Quarter)

This quarter, our focus has been on sustaining momentum and preparing for the next phase of construction as funding continues. Key progress and readiness actions included:

Continuing coordination with local partners across Butebo, Bukedea, and Kumi to confirm priority locations and ensure community-led implementation.
Maintaining our proven construction standard—concrete lining, modern hand pumps, proper drainage, and protective covers—to ensure long-term durability and safe access.
Strengthening our community ownership approach through planning for maintenance and hygiene training, so each well remains functional for generations.

This project is designed for sustainability, not short-term relief. Every well is built to last—and every community is prepared to protect it.

The Ongoing Need (Why This Cannot Pause)

The clean water crisis remains severe across these districts:

Families still collect water from unsafe sources, increasing exposure to waterborne disease.
Schools and hospitals operate without reliable water, weakening education outcomes and healthcare safety.
The daily burden of water collection steals time from learning, caregiving, and earning a living—especially for women and children.

When clean water is available, everything changes: health improves, children attend school consistently, and communities gain stability.

What Your Donation Will Complete (Phase 2)

With the remaining $24,990, American Aid (A A Relief) will continue constructing the remaining sustainable wells to complete the full vision of this project. Your support will help deliver:

Additional wells serving 500 people daily per well with clean, safe water
Safe access for schools, clinics, and villages that currently lack reliable water
Community training for maintenance and hygiene to ensure long-term function
Transparent documentation and reporting so donors can see the impact clearly

Celebrating a Historic Milestone: 5 Wells Completed!

We are overjoyed to announce that five sustainable water wells have been successfully completed across Eastern Uganda’s Butebo, Bukedea, and Kumi districts! This transformative achievement marks the halfway point of our ambitious clean water initiative, and we celebrate this milestone with immense gratitude.

Villages Transformed

The following five villages now have permanent access to clean, safe water:

DoDoi
Doko
Kinyolib
Kituba
Tingoli

Each well stands as a beacon of hope, constructed with durable concrete lining, modern hand pumps, proper drainage systems, and protective covers to ensure long-term sustainability.

Impact: 6,725 Lives Changed Forever

6,725 people across these five villages now wake up each day with access to clean water at their doorstep. No more long walks to contaminated rivers. No more waterborne diseases threatening children and families. No more schools and health centers struggling without safe water.

The Joy of Clean Water

The celebration in each village has been extraordinary. Community members gathered at each well inauguration, expressing overwhelming gratitude and joy. Bring Clean Water to 11,000 People in Uganda!

Progress Update:

During this reporting quarter, American Aid (A A Relief) has achieved significant momentum in our clean water initiative for Eastern Uganda's Butebo, Bukedea, and Kumi districts. We've completed comprehensive needs assessments for all five target villages: DoDoi, Doko, Kinyolib, Kituba, and Tingoli, with detailed analysis covering technical specifications and community requirements.

Our team has secured quotations and finalized implementation plans for the first five wells, which will directly serve 7,704 people across these communities.

The project has transitioned from planning to the active implementation phase, with our official kick-off date scheduled for August 15, 2025. Each village assessment confirms the critical need for access to clean water, as communities currently rely on contaminated rivers and open ponds, leading to widespread waterborne diseases that affect schools, hospitals, and families daily.

Implementation Milestones Achieved:

• Completed detailed need assessments for all five target villages (DoDoi, Doko, Kinyolib, Kituba, and Tingoli)

• Secured technical quotations for well construction and equipment

• Finalized community partnership agreements with local leaders

• Established coordination teams in each village

• Prepared comprehensive documentation, including videos and photos

• Set official project launch date: August 15th, 2025

Looking Forward:

With 50% of our funding secured, we're positioned to begin construction of the first five sustainable water wells. Each well, constructed with a concrete lining and modern hand pumps, will serve approximately 1,540 people per village with access to clean, safe water. Our comprehensive approach includes proper drainage systems, protective covers, and community training in maintenance and hygiene practices.

The remaining $25,000 will enable us to complete all 10 wells, ultimately serving 11,000 people across these districts. Your continued support will transform entire communities, improving health outcomes, enabling education, and fostering sustainable development for generations to come.
