VIRTUAL REALITY TO INSPIRE DREAMS
By Natalie Lazaris | Project Manager
Virtual Reality developers Eden, has been awarded the highly coveted MEWS Impact Award for their groundbreaking work in developing our innovative VR kits. The MEWS Awards have long been recognised as a leading accolade within the technology and creative industries, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, and we are exceptionally proud to have our VR experiences recognised by such an esteemed global jury.
The Foundation is therefore inviting content providers and sponsors who are willing to invest in this project, to get in touch. Become a Virtual Reality Experiences Sponsor making a donation here to ensure that we reach more children in hospital to benefit from the VR experience.
At the forefront of our VR experiences is the potential to transport children in hospital to new worlds, giving them the chance to break free from the confines of their current reality. With Eden's incredible contribution, we have been able to allow these children to dream further and create unforgettable experiences that were once impossible. Providing these children with the power of VR has opened up endless possibilities for adventure, and exploration!

Virtual Reality! Evolving with time
By Natalie Lazaris | Project Manager
We live in a world where technological evolution is in the forefront of everything. We are in a space that is constantly evolving. Therefore, as Reach For a Dream we believe in the power of making dreams come true even in these changing times. We have worked hard to fulfil the dreams of children fighting life-threatening illnesses in South Africa for 34 years.
The Reach For A Dream VR kit boasts a state-of-the-art world-class virtual reality headset, branding and placement case, VR Cover facial interface and foam replacement, Hyperkin Universal VR Masks, as well as skin friendly HMD cleaning wipes – which is neatly packed in a hard travel case with foam.
“Through virtual reality the boundaries of space and time are eliminated allowing the children to dream further and reach higher imaginary heights. Where there is freedom for escapism and creativity. The idea is not to replace the actual dream, but to make otherwise impossible dreams experiences come true with the power of VR at the same time ensuring the safety of our dreamers. While ultimately enabling our dream children to dream bigger through an out of body experience.”

Integration of Virtual Reality & Dream Room
By Natalie Lazaris | Project Manager
Initially Virtual Reality was introduced to keep the morale of the kids fighting life threatening illness during the pandemic and beyond. Virtual Reality has been integrated in our Dream Rooms because of its capability to connect the children’s dream in virtual reality, the kids can join one another on an adventure and even interact with family and friends elsewhere.

The integration of Virtual Reality is a typical example of the use of Information Technology and Communication to ensure that the children’s s mental stimulation and developmental milestones are met regardless of their illnesses.
