Dear Donor,
Since Development Alert was founded in 2020, improving access to clean water has remained one of our important priorities. We believe that every family deserves access to safe and reliable water for drinking, cooking, sanitation, and everyday household needs.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have undertaken community water interventions, including repairing broken boreholes that had left families struggling to find reliable water sources. Our clean water initiatives have reached more than 6,000 people, while recent repairs have restored access for hundreds of people at a time. In Pabendo, the repair of a spoiled community borehole restored a functional water source for close to 1,000 people.
These interventions are about more than repairing infrastructure. Reliable water access helps families maintain personal hygiene, wash their hands, clean household utensils, and improve sanitation practices. It can also reduce the time spent searching for water, giving children more opportunities to attend school and adults more time for productive activities.
We recognize that sustained access requires responsible water use, community ownership, and regular maintenance. Our commitment is to support practical solutions that communities can protect and benefit from over time.
Will you help us restore another broken borehole? Your donation can help bring clean water closer to families still struggling with water insecurity.
Please support Development Alert
Thank you for helping communities gain access to an essential resource and build healthier futures.
