Not everything in Afghanistan is complicated. Five-year-old, Mateen, has a simple wish. Help Hagar build a playground for abused and trafficked children.
Every day Mateen asks if he can play outside. At five, he is being kept safe at Hagar's shelter, but when he wishes to play, he must do so in the shelter's dark basement. Help us build a playground for Mateen and the other children at Hagar's shelter that have sought refuge from abuse, trafficking, and exploitation. All of these children deserve a chance to reclaim their childhood!
With your help, Hagar will build a playground - a safe place with green grass and slides, and swings - for Mateen and the other children at the Hagar Shelter.
All children need to play in fresh air to thrive. Experts at the Academy of Pediatrics agree that "play is important to healthy brain development." Hagar's shelter will serve at least 35 trafficked and abused mothers and children at a time.
