The project will establish a fully equipped school for orphans in Ogodo, providing primary and junior secondary education. It will include classrooms, dormitories, a library, a health post (small clinics), and a playground. The school will also provide free uniforms, meals, and books to ensure no child is excluded due to financial constraints.
In Ogodo, hundreds of orphaned children are out of school due to poverty, loss of parents, and the absence of affordable education. Many live with relatives who struggle to feed them, let alone pay school fees. These children roam the streets, face neglect, and grow up without the basic education needed to build a stable and independent life.
This project will build an orphans-only school in Ogodo with ten classrooms, a dormitory, a dining area, and a small clinic. It will provide free education, meals, uniforms, and books for 500 orphaned children each year. The school will also train teachers to care for children who have experienced trauma, helping them learn in a safe and supportive space.
The school will give orphaned children in Ogodo a fair chance at education, self-reliance, and dignity. It will reduce child labor, early marriage, and street begging. As the students grow into adults, they will be able to contribute positively to their community, and thereby creating a generation of literate and responsible young people who can shape a stronger local future.
