For the upliftment of women, it is required for them to be strengthen economically as well as socially so that they may be able to meet the requirements of theirs as well as their family. But, women can become economically strengthen by gettng self-employed. But, limited resources in the local region restricts them to be self-employed and they are not able to make their dreams true.
In order to help rural and urban women to make their dreams true, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan directs a skill development training. With the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation, RSKS organized beauty parlour training in Bhopon ka Bara, a slum of the city. In the training, school drop-out young girls and 15 women of deprived community are learning the skills and art of beauty parlour. During the trainins, the trainees have learned the technicalities of beauty parlour as eye-brow, make-up, wax, mehndi, hair-cut, etc. RSKS, to improve the living standard of the trainees, organized life skill training in the beauty parlour training. The traininge has not only increased confidence of the trainees but also developed life skills.
In addtion to this, games and entertaining activities held during the training made the trainees to have more interest to learn the skills and helped them to focus of learning. All girls and women in the training, use technique to learn the skills with interest during the training. In order to help the trainees to get job, RSKS also organized a job fair where the representatives of several renowned beauty parlours visited and took test of the trainees and invited the best among them for jobs. The trainees participated in the job fair enthusiastically and it also helped them to boost their confidence level.
Kiran, one of the trainee of the beauty parlour training comes from deprived community is a school drop-out girl. She had to leave study due to the pathetic financial conditions of her family, aftewards she got busy in household chores. She had a wish to take beauty parlour training, but high fees of the institutes didn't allow her to move on. But, the beauty parlour training held by RSKS has been a boon for Kiran. She got the training free of cost and did hard work to learn the skills. When Kiran got invitation of job in the job fair, she got so happy. Now, Kiran has become employed for which she gave the credit to GlobalGiving Foundation and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan.
