Help us to restore a greenhouse on social farm in the Odessa region, Ukraine. Thanks to your donation, 110 vulnerable children and women in the Rehabilitation Centers and Pre-schools of our Foundation will be provided with vegs and greenery for the whole year. Maladapted young people with mental difficulties and orphans from countryside will be able to acquire the skills of modern farming during their training in order to have a job, income and to be successful in society in the future.
90% of children in orphanages in Ukraine have problems with socialization and employment in future. Especially in poor rural areas. We launched a Young Farmer's School for them on farm in Leibental village near Odessa. A violent hurricane destroyed the farm's greenhouse in 2020, and the entire greens crop was destroyed. Winter is coming... The urgent need to restore the greenhouse is not only important for the Farmer's School. 110 wards of 4 centers for crisis children and women fed from there.
If we raise funds and build a greenhouse, our wards will have fresh vegs and greenery on the table already in February 2021. This greenhouse (400 m2) is the main training site for the Young Farmer's School. The program of mentoring training in agribusiness skills, new agricultural technologies and soft skills is being introduced for young people with difficulties in social adaptation, from rural orphanages. Some of greens are sold, which keeps the farm running.
A productive farm is essential for the sustainability of the social programs for vulnerable children, youth and women of Way Home Foundation. Graduates of the Young Farmer's School will be able to socialize and take care for themselves in the future: to get a job on a farm, an agricultural enterprise, or to organize their own farm. Our Foundation works with local farmers and entrepreneurs who can hire young people.
