YOUTH LEADERSHIP AS AGENTS OF CHANGE...
Literacy is not only limited to the teaching of reading and writing, it is to develop leadership skills as a theory of change.
TESTIMONY:
We girls, adolescents and young people are violated our rights for being a woman. However, when we enter a pedagogical training process, our opportunities expand, and we are able to be agents of change.
I remember that before I was unable to speak in public, to express feelings or emotions, to be able to support other young people. And now that I am part of the organization, and that I have received training in leadership issues, I am able to lead literacy programming in my community with almost 60 people (boys, girls, young people), and this makes me proud of myself, and it has been inspiration for other women.
Many dreams are not fulfilled, due to the lack of opportunities, but this program has been able to offer safe participation spaces, and you can look at the impact it is causing in our lives.
For other adolescent girls to continue to grow their leadership, we need their contribution, and to keep spreading the word. And thank you from the heart for everything you do with your valuable collaboration.
