Build More Literate Communities in Rural Honduras

LITERACY IN COVID-19 TIMES...

The pandemic has not been limiting to reach each family with our programming, and children enjoy their quarantine days, playing and learning with our activities.

 In the region where the Un Mundo organization works, it is not possible to use technology for educational work, since some of the communities do not have electricity or a cell phone signal, so a parcel box was created, where the weekly work is deposited, taking all the security measures and protocols, to ensure that there is no risk of contagion.

 The children have found in the Un Mundo organization, a window and opportunity, to continue enriching their knowledge.

Evidence 1:

When we were told that we should be locked up at home because of the pandemic, I was sad to know that I could not attend the programming of the Un Mundo organization, nor my school. But to my surprise, the organization worked out guides with exercises and activities that we could carry out at home. Now I spend entertaining and fun, and above all learning, despite the crisis we are experiencing.

 Evidence 2:

The days go by quickly, and every week I am waiting for the working guides of the Un Mundo organization, to be able to continue entertaining and learning. Without the support of the Un Mundo organization, our confinement would be very stressful.
