USAPCS Completes Phase Two Construction!

By Lloyd Maodzeka | Fundraising Associate

We are delighted to share an exciting milestone: Phase Two of the USAP Community School (USAPCS) campus construction has been successfully completed. This phase includes the construction of ten housing units across five buildings, comprising six residences for non-teaching staff and four fully furnished guest houses.

Designed to seamlessly complement the architectural style established in Phase One, the new buildings maintain the aesthetic integrity of the campus while incorporating sustainability-focused features that support long-term environmental and operational efficiency.

The completion of housing for non-teaching staff marks a particularly significant step forward for our school community. With staff now living on or immediately adjacent to campus, USAPCS is able to foster a more connected, collaborative, and supportive environment. This proximity strengthens relationships among staff, enhances responsiveness to student needs, and makes working at USAPCS more practical and sustainable for our team, ultimately contributing to staff retention and well-being.

The four new guest houses are equally transformative. These spaces significantly expand our capacity to host convocation speakers, intersession instructors, artists-in-residence, visiting educators, and other contributors who enrich our academic program and school culture. This development makes it far more feasible for partners and collaborators from around the world to spend meaningful time on campus and engage directly with our students and community.

Together, these additions strengthen USAPCS not only as a place of learning, but as a vibrant residential and intellectual community that supports innovation, cultural exchange, and holistic education.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support in making this milestone possible. Your generosity has helped transform USAPCS into a thriving, connected community that supports our students, staff, and visiting educators alike. As we close out the year, we wish you happy holidays and a joyful new year, and we thank you for standing with us as we build a stronger future together.
