Summary

Due to the Deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of Deserted /Widowed / Divorce women, Absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancy of Trafficking / Sexually exploited girls; these abandoned children are left without care and support. In this project we give due attention to abandoned children who have been thrown by their mothers due to many economic and social factors.

Challenge

Low level of education among the whole population of the community has been attributed to the increasing number of Orphan children as a result of HIV and AIDS scourge, poverty and poor health conditions. Worst of all, Some babies have been abandoned in secret places and forests after birth, as a result their health suffers until people in the area find them. In addition, many girls after primary school drop out hence increasing on the number of early marriages, prostitution and street children

Solution

The children are being taught and given guidance for their physical, mental and spiritual growth. Institutional care home will be operational model to make them to have potential long term with dignity. The Project addresses there are 51 poor and orphan children at Child care center. They are provided with Food, Shelter, Education and Clothing. Some of the children are attending the local school regularly and are provided with Text Books, Note Books, School Bags, Pens and Pencils.

Long-Term Impact

51 Orphan and poor Children have access for food, shelter education and live in better environment. The children will be attend the School regularly and get better education and acquired knowledge. Children are promoted into new classes. They will get an opportunity to live on their own with dignity. They are keeping in good health and education, have access for School uniform and needs, so that they are having equal opportunity with other children.
