Relief Camp being Organized by CHCS
Respected Donors,
Seasons Greetings...!
It is, indeed, of immense pleasure to share that Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is continuing with its vision of providing relief goods and basic necessities of life to the Rohingya Muslim Refugees living in Bangladesh even during this challenging time of global pandemic COVID-19 when entire world stood still and survival was not easy.
However, owing to the travel restricitions imposed by various countries whereby entry of foreigners were banned/ minimal, this project could not be pursued with the same pace as earlier. Despite these challenges, team of CHCS from Pakistan visited refugee camps (during last three months) in Bangladesh and distributed relief goods among the Rohingya Refugees in collaboration with local Bangladeshi NGOs. Among the relief goods distributed this time, there was dry ration (food packets), medicines, clothes and toys for children. Moreover, 10 more hand pumps were also installed for the refugees on various locations in refugee camps to ensure provision of safe drinking water to all the refugees.
Initially, this project was launched in collaboration with GlobalGiving to minimize the sufferings of humanity in distress. However, this project has so far not been able to attract a large number of donors but CHCS has been providing relief goods to Rohingya Refugees through its own resources.
It is worth mentioning that CHCS intends to continue providing support and relief to the Rohingya Muslims in the future also. Therefore, donors from all over the globe are humbly requested to donate generously to this noble cause enabling CHCS to continue with its mission to minimize the sufferings of humanity in distress.
Regards,
Asif Mahmood Jah
