Project Report | Jan 4, 2024
60% to 100% improvement in stress and pain!

By Christine Cronin | Executive Director

The CARE collective, made up of Livity Rising, Integrative Healers Action Network (IHAN) and Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB) has provided 687 treatments to the migrant farmworker community between July and December 2023 - nearly doubling the number of treatments given since our last report!

For many, the medical care given by the CARE collective is the only medical care the migrant farmworker community receives. The work they do is backbreaking and critical to the production of over 1/3 of the vegetables, 3/4 of all fruits and nuts and 90% of the strawberries consumed in the US. Their chronic pain and extreme stress have only been made worse because of the severe weather they experienced and the Pajaro levee break that occurred nearly a year ago. The need for this work continues.

The treatments provided by the CARE collective to treat their chronic pain and stress - acupuncture, acupressure, chiropractic, massage and indigenous healing work! After receiving treatment, a 60% to 100% drop in their pain and stress levels was reported.

Please support those who provide our food! If you can, please give generously so this important work continues!

We are grateful for your support!
