This project will give 150 girls aged 10-16 preloaded tablets with offline videos, audio guides in local languages, chatbots, and interactive quizzes. The materials cover puberty, contraception, consent, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and how to stay safe from sexual abuse and unwanted pregnancy. Using local art, pictorial guides, and friendly tools, the girls will learn in private, safe, and respectful ways without needing internet access.
Most adolescent girls in rural and poor areas have no access to clear, safe, or private information about puberty, their bodies, or how to avoid abuse and early pregnancy. Many schools skip these topics. As a result, girls often turn to unsafe sources or stay silent out of fear or shame.
The project will provide 150 girls with offline tablets loaded with educational videos, local-language audio guides, pictorial representations, chatbots, and quizzes. The materials cover topics such as menstruation, consent, safe touch, contraception, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, STIs, and gender-based violence. The tablets do not require internet and will be used in secure group sessions guided by trained female facilitators.
The girls will grow up with practical knowledge to avoid abuse, protect their health, and make informed choices. The tools are reusable and can be passed on to help younger girls in the community. In time, the project will reduce fear, misinformation, and risk, helping more girls stay in school and avoid early pregnancy, marriages or harm.
