"This experience helped me view palliative care from an integral point of view rather than just the psychological aspect. I was able to see how others countries are more advanced than us, as a country in terms of Palliative Care, and I hope to create a real impact in my community and more so in my society/country."

"The congress was a wonderful opportunity to meet again with colleagues and friends from all over Latin America, do networking and strengthen relationships for future collaborations. Also, I learned many new issues essential to continue promoting the development of Palliative Care in my context."

"I was inspired by seeing various scientific posters on research topics that could be relevant in my country, the data is available, the only thing left is to start the multidisciplinary team and this experience helped me to know how to start a research project that is useful in my country, that provides necessary data on topics of medical relevance; Do it at the Hospice where I work, with my team to create new care protocols. Also understanding the reality in Latin America about the importance of palliative care in our countries shows me that my country still has a long way to go and as we grow, policies will be created so that the entire population can access palliative care, in a free way as we all want."

"Attending this event was useful for updating my knowledge, for getting new ideas for my practice, for making contacts with whom we can work together in the future. I work at a socio sanitary center, with just hospitalization, so the plan is extending our services to home visits, and for that we will require advocacy inside the center, good planning and the help of palliative care students that are currently rotating in our service."

"It was a great opportunity to meet once again- face to face- the Latin american pediatric palliative care community, share experiences and challenges and be inspired by lecturers and participants in general. Particularly two issues touched me deeply : "managing complexity" and the threatenings that pharmaceutical industry involvement means in health care political decisions all over the world. Both issues will be part of my areas of study, deepening and teaching in the different levels of education that my Pediatric Palliative Care team is in charge in Uruguay. Particularly interdisciplinary Postgraduate Diploma for pediatric palliative care."
