Challenge

The on-going crises in the SW and NW regions of Cameroon and the multiple displacements caused by it have affected child education the most. According to UNICEF, it is estimated that more than 600.000 children have been affected by school closures in the regions. More than 80% of the school are closed with more than 70% destroyed. For this reason thousands of families have fled to neighboring towns for safety, refuge, and children education but there are limited facilities to meet their needs .

Solution

Project will provide 2 classroom for education of 508 internally displaced children, 50 benches, portable water and 2 compartment toilet to meet the educational and WASH needs of the internally displaced pupils and community at large. the project will also support IDP women to set up a sustainable business so as to afford cost of feeding and educating their children

Long-Term Impact

The project will provide access to education for 508 internally displaced children and thousands of children thereafter, thus securing a successful future for those children and the community at large. project will train and support vulnerable families to set up sustainable business which will restore their livelihood, increase family income, and provides for the nutrition and educational needs of their children, families and communities.
