Safe education

By Marat Abdullaiev | Project Leader

Thanks to your help and support, we continue to implement a full range of educational, developmental, and recreational activities in our children’s centers in Odesa and Ovidiopol, providing children with a safe and supportive environment for learning and interaction.

In recent months, we have placed special emphasis on digital safety. During the sessions, children gain knowledge and practical skills for safe behavior in the online environment, including how to recognize risks, protect personal data, communicate safely online, and make informed decisions in digital spaces.

An important component of our work remains psychosocial support for children. We integrate it into all types of activities — both creative and educational workshops — allowing us not only to teach but also to support children’s emotional well-being.

In addition to group activities, our psychologists provide individual consultations: on average, about 15 consultations per month in Odesa and around 8 consultations per month in Ovidiopol.

We also continue to develop creative and educational clubs such as “Me and the World,” a biology club, a creative workshop, and acting classes. These formats play an important role in children’s lives, helping them better understand the world around them, develop creative thinking, communication skills, and self-confidence. Through creativity and exploration, children are able to safely express their emotions, which is especially important in conditions of increased stress.

This comprehensive approach is particularly important as children are living under constant stress and anxiety. Integrating psychosocial support elements into every activity helps reduce tension, create a sense of safety, and gradually stabilize children’s emotional state.

Odesa

The children’s center in Odesa demonstrates a high level of activity and consistency. On average, 65 classes were held per month, with approximately 520 visits per month.

Over three months, a total of 176 classes were conducted, reaching approximately 1,408 visits.

A total of 40 unique children participated in the activities, ensuring consistent engagement, development, and individual attention for each participant.

Ovidiopol

In Ovidiopol, activities were held in a more small-group format, allowing for more individual attention to each child. On average, 12 classes were held per month, with approximately 110 visits per month.

Over three months, a total of 36 classes were conducted, with 330 visits in total.

A total of 15 unique children participated, ensuring stable support and a trusting environment within the group.
