Challenge

The number of registered internally displaced persons in the Odessa region is more than 137,165 people, the majority are women, more than 30% are children. Children from displaced families experience all the difficulties that adult family members face. And they are exacerbated by the breakdown of social ties and the lack of communication with peers, the lack of necessary support from parents. Lack of financial ability to pay for additional education for children and services of a psychologist.

Solution

Parents have the opportunity to leave the child in a safe space in which children get access to high-quality developmental and educational activities, art therapy, group and creative classes, individual psychological consultations, and improvement of Soft- Skills. While the children are in the center, parents can look for work, apply for benefits, or get advice from a lawyer, psychologist and social worker at our center.

Long-Term Impact

At least 500 IDP children and adolescents will improve their psycho-emotional state. At least 150 IDP children and teenagers will improve their soft skills. Easier socialization in the new community, access to non-formal and creative learning will enhance the overall development of children. Improving the financial condition of the family. Parents can leave their child at the center while working. Children and adolescents will be able to improve their knowledge of their rights.
