New opportunities for children and youth

Thank you very much for your amazing support for the children and young people at CHW's projects around the world.

We are sending you this update from the UK, where it is now spring, a season which symbolises new beginnings. For the children at our partner projects in Argentina, however, it is autumn, but they have just begun their new school year. New and exciting things are also happening at our projects in China and Ghana too and you can read all about this below.

Thank you for making such an important difference in the lives of everyone benefitting from these projects!

New school year in Argentina

In March, the children returned to school after their summer holidays.

Your support has gone towards helping with the care of babies and children, at a residential centre, who have had to be removed from their families, due to abuse and neglect.

An update we received from the home said that the children had enjoyed the holidays, which had included games, outings and also rest. The new school year offers further opportunities for the children's education. The team thanked CHW's supporters for "walking alongside us" in the work to give the children a better future.

Another of our partner organisations in Argentina offers horse-assisted therapy sessions for children and teenagers with disabilities. We are so grateful that, with your help, it was possible to sponsor sessions for this school year for a teenage girl. CHW's supporters have assisted with her sessions before and it is wonderful that she can continue with this incredibly beneficial therapy.

New community centre for migrant children in China

We are delighted to share the news that Stepping Stones, one of our partner organisations in Shanghai, opened a community centre to deliver its educational programmes in a special, dedicated space.

Over the years, CHW's supporters have contributed towards educational materials for the children and we are so glad that your help will continue to allow these children to have access to high-quality educational programmes.

The team at Stepping Stones said to CHW's supporters, "We are immensely grateful for your continued partnership and look forward to reaching even greater heights together [this] year."

New horizons for young people in Ghana

Your kindness and generosity has also been supporting students, who are being assisted by our partner organisation, New Life in Ghana.

Two of the students recently graduated, with degrees in Construction and Technology Management and Tourism Management. Thank you so much for being part of their journey and helping them to have a brighter future, filled with greater opportunities.

CHW is currently supporting three other students, who are studying nursing, education and fashion design respectively. With further, ongoing support, we hope they will be able to complete their studies towards the end of this year.

Derrick, the director of New Life, said that he "truly appreciates the continued support and care shown towards the students' education" by those who contribute through CHW.

A big thank you for providing hope and positive change for the babies, children and students at all of these programmes!
