Cycling our way to funding our children's home

Welcoming a new boy to our home - updates soon...
Welcoming a new boy to our home - updates soon...

Here in Our Sansar HQ the team are building up a sweat (and slight panic) getting ‘ready’ for the England London to Brighton Bike Ride 2014!

This gruelling challenge (more so for some of us!) will test the teams endurance over 54 miles of varying terrain. This is our latest fundraising event to ensure we can continue the great work over in Birgunj, Nepal in our Children's Home.

Our very own Julia and Clint in the UK have taken to their bikes for the first time in many years, brushed off the rust, put on the lycra and are prepping for the epic journey. That alone is worth your support!

We all want to give a special shout out to Belinda Best and her bro, Damo….. they are also taking on the challenge, all in the aid of Our Sansar!

Belinda has been busy training, although we are hoping she has upgraded her choice of transport for the day – otherwise she may be pedalling a long while ;-)  the Our Sansar team do however fully approve of the sequins (see photo)!

Find out more and support Julia, Clint, Belinda and Damo here

Thank you both, and for everyone who is supporting us, know that every penny raised goes to the boys in our Children’s Home in Birgunj, Nepal – in particular, we are raising funds to send them to a better local school where they will learn English, IT and a range of other skills that their previous lives on the street would never have given them the opportunity to gain!

Click here to find out more about the Our Sansar Children’s Home and the street children we are helping provide a future for.

More updates from the home: we are just about to welcome two new boys to the home - providing them shelter, food and education and ensuring they get the best chance of a future away from the streets....more updates to follow on them soon! We know you are all looking forward to meeting them, we know our boys are!
