At the time of the biggest festival in Nepal, Dashain, we needed to treat our boys to make sure we make those days very special for them. They have all gone to an amusement park - for many of them it was the first time they've ever tried the rides. So a lot of laughter and happiness!
We've recently introduced monthly rewards for those boys that lead by example, help others and study hard. Last month our Gopi won a giant gorilla so now they are inseparable.
We have some new chickens laying eggs now as well - so our boys are getting properly free range eggs (the chickens seem to be really spoilt at our home!).
We're really pleased to see all of our boys healthy and happy - and studying so hard, and all having very ambitious dreams now. We are sure many of them will achieve those when they grow up.
There are still many children living on the streets of Birgunj and our staff are in touch with them and the authorities, trying to provide them with any assistance they might need. We hope that with time there will be no street children in Birgunj and this is the goal we are working towards. As the only organisation in the area helping street children, we do need your support. Please share the details of the project or the organisation itself with anyone that might be interested in getting involved.
And thank you so much for being a part of Our Sansar!
