He failed to speak. Wesley suffered a severe TET Spell and went blind due to a stroke before the operation.
After his surgery, his life has greatly improved. He is getting his life back slowly by slowly, he started to speak like he can mention what he likes, and he can even sit without much support nowadays unlike before his operation. He is able to play and can sometimes eat by himself. “We hope maybe one day he will be able to stand and to see” say Wesley’s father.
W. continues to attend physiotherapy sessions for rehabilitation and speech therapy. He continues to come for reviews as an outpatient at the Uganda Heart Institute outpatient clinic. He is also attending a nutrition program.
