The 3rd monitoring of CCMC has finished!
By Ronnie Hu | Project Assistant
Dear Donor,
Hope everything goes well with you and your family. Recently, the society is back to general life in China. People are going to work at office and shops are all opened. Thus, the monitoring of this time was not that challenged like the 2nd monitoring.
Do you know that fried crayfish is a very popular dish during every summer in China? We also found this dish on our beach (check picture below)! There are 80 sites that carry out survey and collect the data. Totally, there are 798 volunteers joined and 1.65tons of coastal litter has been removed.
Thanks for every penny you donate and any support you make, which continute us to operate the project no matter what happened!
Hope you enjoy June! And also remember to celebrate 5th June (World Environment Day) and 8th June (World Ocean Day)!
Best wishes,
Rendu Ocean

Finish 1st and 2nd surveys of 2020!
By Ronnie Hu | Project Assistant
Dear donors,
The COVID-19 coronavirus just made 2020 a worldwide drama. People are being affected everywhere. It is a terrifying issue, but we know that we could be safe if we do enough cautious protection. We sincerely hope everything goes well with you and your family no matter your race, nationality, religion, gender and age.
This spring is not dark entirely. Most people in China have already back to work, welcomed by peach and cherry blossom on the roads. Let me share you the recent progress of our project briefly here.
Both of the first and the second surveys have been carried out. The first survey report shows that the domestic litter distribution density is 1.5 pieces per square meter and 38 gram per square meter. 80.3% litter is plastics. Check the pdf attached to see the top 5 items of China beach litter this time!!!
Influenced by the coronavirus, only partial partners were able to carry out the second surveys. And they were noticed to control the number of attendees seriouly. We cannot wait to share you more details about it. And we hope the situation of fighting with coronavirus gets much much better at that time.
Sincerely,
Ronnie
