China Coastline Monitoring and Cleanup

It is spring now and most areas in China are getting warmer which is great. It is much more comfortable for volunteers to attend monitoring activities along the coastline!! Sunny weather, various blossoms, soothing wind... and with your very kind donations, everything goes well with our coastline monitoring and cleanup.

Our analysis of the 1st monitoring of 2019 has been released. The data shows that the material of beach litter with the most quantity is mixed-material which accounts for 71.35%, followed by polyfoam (13.28%) and plastics (11.21%).

Recently, all of our 50 monitoring sites in China have accomplished the second monitoring of this year. Our partners have submitted the data and our research team are double checking the data and preparing for the analysis report.

Here is recent news of the project "China Coastline Monitoring and Cleanup".

1. We have expanded to 50 monitoring sites this year!

The number of monitoring sites was only 27 in 2018 and now it has developed to 50. And we are planning to hold around 300 times of monitoring in this year.

2. Offline training held in Shenzhen last December went successfully!

Before the monitoring officially starts, our monitoring partners across the country gathered in Shenzhen and participated in training for three days. .
