What’s Happening So Far
Although fundraising is still underway, our team at Empower Future Initiative has begun early groundwork to ensure this project delivers immediate and measurable impact once funded.
In preparation for the prevention of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), we have engaged community leaders in Mararaba and conducted preliminary site observations. These visits confirmed widespread challenges including open drainage systems, uncollected waste, and stagnant water, conditions that increase the risk of diseases such as cholera, schistosomiasis, and lymphatic filariasis.
Community Engagement & Readiness
Local residents have expressed strong interest in participating. Youth leaders, women’s groups, and informal sanitation volunteers have already indicated willingness to join the clean-up once materials and logistics are secured. This early enthusiasm shows that the community is ready to take ownership of healthier living conditions.
Why Your Support Matters Now
Your donation will directly unlock action:
Cleaning heavily littered streets and open drains
Providing basic sanitation tools and protective gear
Installing trash collection points to sustain cleanliness
Delivering hygiene and disease-prevention education
Supporting collaboration with local health authorities
With funding, we can mobilize 100+ volunteers and turn preparation into life-saving action.
Looking Ahead
As funding comes in, we will:
Share photos and stories from clean-up days
Report on volunteer participation and waste removed
Track community awareness and behavior change
Highlight progress toward reducing NTD risk
A Call to Be the First
Be among the first donors to help transform Mararaba’s streets into safer, cleaner spaces. Your early support sends a powerful signal that this project matters, and encourages others to join.
Together, we can prevent disease before it starts and protect vulnerable families where they live.
Thank you for standing with our communities
