Clean Water for a Healthy Afghan Community

Project Report | Sep 8, 2011
Continuing Need

By Toc Dunlap | Executive Director CHI

A new well is desperately needed for this building outside of Herat City.  It serves as a Learning Center for many members of this small community.  During July, 603 students attended classes.

With the help of the community, AIL has been making improvements to the building.  Over the last few months repairs were made to the roof and a few walls, and the entranceways were improved so that rainwater runoff does not enter the facility from the street.  Additionally, a storeroom was added onto the building.

Let’s help them with getting this new well installed as soon as possible!
