Our amazing Maia Project Coordinator from Gaza, Ghada Mansi, does regular check-ups on the units installed to provide clean water for children in Gaza. The units could have more than one school or kindergarten conencted to them (some have even 4 schools that work together), and according to Ghada's latest check-up there are approximately 51 water purification units in schools and 21 units in kindergartens. In school children use these units per shifts and each shift would have an average of 1000 - 1100 sudents use the units for clean water, while the avergae of children in kidnergartens benefiting of the unit is 120 child per kindergarten.
As much as we're proud that the project is getting bigger and we're reaching more and more children, our work is far from done. Yet we know with your continous support we'll be able to reach more children in Gaza to provide clean and accessible water.
