With your support, MECA continues to maintain 79 water purification units that provide safe, clean water to more than 100,000 children in Gaza every day.

Our Maia Project Coordinator, Ghada, is busy all year working on the installation of new units and doing site visits to check the quality of the water from all of the units. Ghada is especially busy in the fall when she checks the Maia units and to make sure all necessary maintenance and repair work is completed at the start of the school year.

Ghada recently shared some photos of her daily visits and wrote "I feel really positive when I see the kids benefiting from the Maia Project."

We are also working on three new Maia units - one that will be powered by solar energy! - and will provide updates soon!
