Our team remains actively engaged in the Agadez region of northern Niger, where we continue to implement several projects in partnership with the local NGO Tidène.
In Tafadek, the village already has one well. However, it is not sufficient to meet the needs of the entire population. Waiting times are very long, especially during the hot season, which limits reliable access to safe water. This situation also prevents the development of complementary activities such as family gardens and income-generating initiatives, while women and children continue to bear the primary responsibility for water collection.
This project aims to sustainably strengthen access to clean water by drilling a solar-powered borehole, constructing a water tower, installing public fountains, and building latrines. The community has confirmed its commitment and is ready to establish a local water management committee as soon as the project begins.
We are currently in the fundraising phase required to launch the works. Technical preparations have been initiated, and our team is ready to start implementation as soon as sufficient funding is secured.
We sincerely thank our early supporters for helping bring this essential project closer to reality.
