By Azeem Christopher | Program Leader
Thank you for your support. AWARD Pakistan has taken an initiative to install 3 RO water treatment plants to provide clean drinking water in the 3 villages of Punjab with the support of the local community. The project is not receiving donations despite being one of the most need based one. We urrge our donors to support us to reach the needy communities.
The project has raised 1873 USD so far. Initially , AWARD requires an amount of 5,000 USD to start installing its first 2 ton water RO plant in one rural area of District Faisalabad. According to the surveys , 75-80 % of the population in the surveryed villages relies on the under ground saline water, which is becoming the cause of the water borne diseases. The communities have made multiple requests to AWARD Team for thesupport. Apart from the GlobalGiving Donations , AWARD is also looking for other ways to collect funds and to deal with this requests. Once the target will be near to achieve, the staff will inform the community about the intervention and the activities associated with it and will start initiating the project.
APPEAL: We have seen decline in the donations from the past three quarters therefore , We would like to request all our donors and supporters to donate us for this cause to provide children and women an access to safe drinking water.

AWARD Pakistan has taken an initiative to install 3 RO water treatment plants to provide clean drinking water in the 5 villages of Punjab with the support of the local community. The project is not receiving donations despite being one of the most need based one.The project has raised 365 USD so far. Initially , AWARD requires an amount of 10,000 USD to start installing its first 2 ton water RO plant in one village.
AWARD Pakistan’s team is regularly visiting the potential target areas and trying to engage the communities in this regard. The surveys of the areas have been completed but the staff has not promised the RO plant to the community yet as the amount collected is not sufficient enough. According to the surveys , 75-80 % of the population in an entire village reles on the under groung saline water, which is becoming the cause of the water borne diseases.
We are also looking for other suitable options to collect funds and to deal with the water issue. Once the target will be near to achieve, the staff will inform the community about the intervention and the activities associated with it.
APPEAL: We have seen decline in the donations from the past two quarters therefore , We would like to request all our donors and supporters to donate us for this cause to provide children and women an access to safe drinking water.
