Prolonged conflict and a deepening economic crisis have increasingly hindered millions of families in Syria from accessing the basic conditions necessary to sustain their daily lives. Rising living costs, damaged infrastructure, and limited livelihood opportunities have made regular and adequate living conditions increasingly uncertain, particularly for families with children.
With recent developments, the increase in return and displacement movements has made access to basic needs even more critical for returning families. During this fragile period, families need to sustain their daily lives, their households and protect children’s health and development.
Based on its many years of experience in the field, Association for Social Development and Aid Mobilization (ASAM) closely monitors the basic conditions that families in Syria need to maintain their daily lives. With the support activities planned to be implemented in the coming period, it is aimed to contribute to the daily lives of families in the return process.
Every step taken today to support access to basic needs is an important first step towards enabling families to build their futures in a safer, more dignified and more resilient way.
