In many parts of Ghana, cancer patients and their families lack access to basic health information and support. Trained community health workers can bridge this gap by providing education, early detection awareness, and guidance on accessing care.

Our project, Community Health Worker Training Initiative, was created to equip local health workers with the skills they need to support cancer patients and their communities. While we have not yet received donations, your first gift can be the start of empowering health workers who will, in turn, impact many lives.

We’re excited to share an update on our Community Health Worker Training Initiative. This project is designed to strengthen early cancer detection and patient support by equipping local health workers with essential knowledge and tools.

In many underserved communities, community health workers are the first point of contact for patients. By training them to recognize early signs of cancer and provide accurate health information, we can improve early diagnosis, reduce fear and stigma, and ensure patients are referred for care promptly.

Although we are still in the early stages and awaiting our first donations, our team has begun working with health facilities and local leaders to identify participants and design a culturally relevant training curriculum.

This initiative is not just about education—it’s about saving lives through awareness and early intervention. With your support, we can build a stronger, more informed frontline of care in communities across Ghana.
