Relief in 3rd wave of COVID- 19 crises in Pakistan

Dear Friends, Thank you for your support throughout and helping AWARD with USD 7,154.

During the last quarter under its COVID-19 relief program , AWARD has managed to help 103 families with a small grant of PKR 10,000 that were affected by COVID-19. AWARD selected the following beneficiairies.

1) Those who were directly affeced by the virus

2) Those who had their family members affected by the virus.

3) Widows and Single Mothers affected by the virus or lockdown.

4) Those who got unemployed during the lockdowns.

AWARD also helped 20 small business that were affected by the COVID-19 lockdown and helped them in maintaining their businesses . These business owners had no other option , other than to sit and wait for the lockdown to be over. These small business owners were contacted by AWARD team and looking at their businesses, each business was provided a small grant of PKR 70,000 (USD 400). The business owners were extremely happy and they thanked AWARD for the efforts it made, to reach them. Fiza expressed his feeling " I was doing a baking business which got very much affected by the lockdowns. AWARD came to me during this critical time. This small grant has helped me to add up new items, new machines, and to restart my business with a new motivation. I thank AWARD for this" We would like to request all our supporters to help AWARD in suporting the affected families.

Since the COVID -19 cases has gone below , still the fear is there . Therefore AWARD has initiated an awareness campaign to motivate people to go for the vaccinations. AWARD has conducted 3 seminars with the communities and have motivated the rural communites not to miss out he vaccinnations to stop the spread of the virus. AWARD team has also helped the poor and illiterate community members to register themselves for the vaccination with the Government. Nearly 196 people have been registered by now with the help of AWARD.
