Little Brikti is only 5 years old but she has already been through some growing experiences. During the war she had to flee with her parents and 3 siblings to a bigger town. The father went back a few days later to check on his cattle and was shot. Brikti's mother was pregnant at that time and hearing the news about the death of her husband on top of all the other stress became to much for her and she died 2 weeks later.
The war, the fleeing, the shooting and the death of both her parents had devastating impact on brijti and her other siblings as well. She suffered from nightmares and bed-wetting. The 20 year old oldest brother had to step in and run the family. He struggled as he had his on trauma to deal with on top o new responsibilities and hi traumatized siblings..
Thanks to your generous support, Abraham's Oasis was able to support this hurting family with much needed counselling and cash support.
