Climate change have a devastating potential on the livelihood, health and well-being of the under-served population In Cameroon, especially farmers that depends on natural resources and agriculture for their livelihood. Cameroon has recently experienced decline in agriculture productivity, increased poor health outcome linked to flood, drought, hurricane, heat and rising sea levels which are all outcomes of climate change. I.A.A will work with women and children of all ages to accelerate forest conservation efforts, by planting trees in water catchments, Oku forest and other nature reserve areas in the region.

Long-Term Impact

The project will restore over 200 ha of degraded land and save at least 1000 tons of CO2 through planting 150,000 trees by 2030. It is expected that through this initiative, 10000 farmers will be able to adapt and respond to climate shocks in the food sector, while building a strong climate stewardship for a community of diverse indigenous and ethnic groups and help build social cohesion for a peaceful living.
