Throughout October, we have treated more than 20 cows in our shelter despite all odds. Abandoned and injured cows live miserable life on the street. In the entire month, we have received many dehydrated & weak cows due to lack of natural food and water sources in the city, horrible maggot-infested wounds, fracture, eye injury, broken horn injury, head trauma from road accidents, uterine prolapse, etc.
Our team treated, stabilized the condition, and shifted them to a permanent shelter house after their complete recovery, where they enjoy a pain-free life and never go hungry or thirsty.
Here is a summary of our ‘Save Homeless Abandoned Cows in Central Gujarat’ project for October’21.
Cow with severe dehydration & weakness- 4
Head Trauma due to road accidents- 3
Huge Maggot infected wounds- 5
Multiple Fracture and injuries- 4
Uterine Prolapse-2
Eye Injury- 1
Horn Injury- 1
Total- 20
Taking care of abandoned cows is a monumental work. Alone, we would not have been achieved the number shown above. It is your love, support, and generous contribution that keep us moving all the time. We believe together we will make this a better place for all our speechless friends. Thank you once again for being such a fantastic teammate.
