Happy Diwali and greetings to youand to your loved ones from BASS, India.Thank you so much for your generous donation support to the Covid relief project for the last two years.
The Covid infection impact is still influencing the lives of vulnerable slums families, children and neglected elderly in India.
Currently no Covid infections identifying in our project locations and every one are not wearing face masks and freely moving around public and private places without any restrictions.
Government departments are working hard to give Covid virus prevention Vaccinations and booster doses to as many as people in India.
Unfortunately our project location families are facing severe viral fevers and high number of Dengue fever infections in slums and rural villages in Guntur district. Moreover continues cyclones and floods affecting the communities and loosing daily wage works. More than 2 lakhs Dengue cares reocred in India in 2022. Children and elderly are the most vulnerable situation in slums and remote rural areas, as many poor families not able to having sufficient income to feed their family members.
BASS India Team is continuously working to prevent Covid infections by educating the children, families and elderly people with Covid appropriate behavior. And also we are educating on hygiene, protecting from mosquitoes at the premises of their homes and surroundings areas in the slums.
We believe that Covid severely impacted especially vulnerable elderly people and slum families, therefore Under Covid relief project we are continuously operating daily meal program for 100 neglected elderly people in three locations in Guntur district and providing daily meals to elderly. And also regularly providing essential food ration kits to 50 slum children families. And also providing daily breakfast and evening meal to 40 rag picking family’s children in Guntur city.
We do not receive enough donations to this project since June 2022. We received only under $ 450 for the past 5 months.
We humbly request you to kindly make new donations to support our initiations of daily meal programs for elderly people and continue essential immunity booster and food ration kits to slum children families in Guntur.
Thank you so much for your kind support and get lots blessings to you from the elderly people and children from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India
