COVID-19 infections in Italy exceeded 15,000 units, over 7,000 in Lombardy. The emergency is seriously stressing the Healthcare System which must face a very high number of hospitalizations and the exponential increase in places in intensive care. The government imposed severe restrictions: from the lockout of all non-essential activities to the closure of schools of all levels.We want to guarantee support to the most vulnerable Children with educational and sanitary services
The economic impact is clear, in terms of family budgets and commercial and productive activities. The social costs in the medium-long term will be dramatic: the virus will cause more distrust towards foreigners, disadvantged part of communities, unemployed people. Job Loss, income decrease, health risks: those are the main consequences of this pandemia. We must act following three pillars: education (both devices and digital contents), protection and psychological support
To guarantee remote accompaniment for children we'll implement the IT equipment that will be available to families with fewer financial opportunities and with limited IT equipment at home and we'll implement digital platform with educational contents. Once the isolation and emergency phase will be overcome, we'll be able to focus on listening and supporting action towards families. We are committed to give individual protection devices as medical face masks and hand sanitizer for our partners
In the short term, give support to the largest possible number of children, in terms of support for study and distance learning activities;give relief and emotional support to the most fragile or lonely parents at home.In the medium term, reduce the educational costs that this period of isolation is causing to children who risk not ending the year properly, with training gaps that can compromise the following school years;facilitate the reworking of the lived experience, of the fear faced;
