The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated existing differences in funding access for minority- and women-owned businesses. LEND has been serving these communities for over a decade and is working to provide low interest loans and small business consulting to business owners who otherwise would have to close their doors.
Small businesses do not have the savings required to weather the coming storm. We are looking to bridge this temporary gap and help them get back on their feet in the coming months.
We will provide micro loans at zero interest. We will also provide pro bono business consulting to help small businesses navigate new issues such as: changing work force, legislation, taxation policies. We will help them brainstorm new ways to generate revenue and help them cut costs.
We hope to keep a lot of small businesses afloat that may otherwise not make it through the next six months. We will also serve as a model for other communities.
