Hello LEND Supporter,
There have been a lot of exciting updates for both LEND and our client businesses as we continue to provide emergency funding and training services. We partnered with the City of Evanston for a $100,000 emergency funding program. We also fundraised close to $50,000 through programs with the Downtown Evanston business alliance and our ever-supportive LEND community. We distributed $93,000 in zero-interest loans and will continue to support businesses as they continue their recovery.
We have expanded our training programs during the summer months and are expanding our team to accommodate the demand. A special thank you to all of the LEND alumni who have provided their support to LEND student teams over the past few months. Your advice has been invaluable and has allowed us to process loan applications faster than ever before.
Evanston has entered Phase 4 of Governor Pritzker’s recovery program. This means that many restaurants are able to accommodate more patrons, salons can re-open and people are welcome to shop at their favourite local establishments. There is a long way to go before we reach full recovery, but the perseverance and creativity of the Evanston business community continues to astound us.
