We have decided to keep supporting our community in responding to their unbearable need of food during the pandemic. After successfully delivering 500 food parcels over the past few weeks, we want to keep it going! We are calling YOU to make a contribution to stop rumbling stomachs. We will take care of YOUR generosity to feed our people.
The COVID-19 lockdown is still going on in South Africa, and has left the majority of our communities at home without any income to buy food for their families. The relief fund from the government has ran out and many people have been recently laid off. It is urgent to support people in the communities during this crisis.
We will prepare and deliver food parcels to families in need in the nearby villages. One food parcel will include the following items: maize meal , cooking oil, brown sugar, speckled beans, 60 tea bags, tinned fish, soup, soap bars and toilet paper. The total value of a food parcel is $30, including petrol cost to collect the food parcels and delivering them.
If we do not act this will cause an increase in violence and wildlife poaching, as a mean to feed the families. One food parcel can feed 4 people for 1 week. How many food parcels can you support?
