We support children and families with dependent minors to improve their social and economic condition by promoting their autonomy and a change of perspective

Number of direct beneficiaries supported by the organization:

 131,266 direct beneficiaries

From January to September 2025, the “Varcare la Soglia” program supported 5,140 direct beneficiaries across six Italian cities.

Highlights of the past year

The Foundation, through its 49 active projects in Italy and abroad, reached over 126,000 direct beneficiaries. These initiatives focused primarily on protecting children in vulnerable situations, promoting educational opportunities, and supporting families facing social and economic hardship. The Foundation continued to invest in long-term programs and strengthened its partnerships, both nationally and internationally, to ensure greater impact and sustainability

 Summary of the project

The national program “Varcare la Soglia” aims to support children and families in vulnerable conditions, promoting autonomy and a change of perspective. In 2025, the project focused on educational enhancement, STEM and digital education, cultural outings, and life skills development. The initiative was active in six cities and involved both educators and external experts.

 Main achievements

In 2025, the project achieved significant results: improved educational engagement, development of digital and STEM skills, increased socialization and community integration, and enhanced relational and emotional competencies. Thematic workshops and cultural outings enriched the experience of children and families.

 Current status of the project

In 2025, the initiative targeted children, adolescents, and families in vulnerable conditions, promoting the right to education and offering growth opportunities through educational, cultural, and skill development activities.

During the first semester, the action focused on:

  • Cross-cutting educational activities: study support, enhancement of basic skills, digital and STEM education.
  • Educational and cultural outings: promotion of local historical and artistic heritage.
  • Life skills development: experiential workshops and group activities to strengthen relational and social competencies. In the second part of the year, the intervention shifted toward thematic workshops tailored to each territory, involving external experts. These workshops explored topics such as astronomy and digital storytelling (Naples), environmental sustainability and coding (Perugia), scientific dissemination and STEM education (Genoa), healthy eating and educational robotics (Milan), digital literacy and online safety (Palermo), and computational thinking and creative mathematics (Catanzaro).

Parents continue to express gratitude for the opportunity to share their concerns and feel supported in achieving personal and family goals. They appreciate the guidance received and the safe space offered by the project. Children and adolescents report feeling enthusiastic about the new experiences, especially the creative and scientific workshops, which help them discover new interests and develop useful skills

 IMPACT OF THE PROJECT

In 2025, the project focused on transversal educational support, STEM and digital education, cultural outings, and life skills development. Activities were implemented in six cities, involving dedicated educators and external experts, with thematic workshops tailored to each local context
