Update on the project- Cycone and Floods Relief

Dear Donors, Namaste

We are deeply grateful for your generous support to our project Cyclone and Floods Relief in Andhra Pradesh, India. With your help, we have been able to provide life-saving relief and long-term recovery to 150 families who have been affected by natural disasters in the past two years.

Your donations have made it possible for us to distribute emergency supplies, such as food, water, blankets, and hygiene kits, to the flood victims in Renigunta and Thirupathi. We have also helped them rebuild their homes and restore their livelihoods by providing seeds, tools, and training.

In addition, your donations have enabled us to improve the health and well-being of 50 vulnerable children and 50 elderly people in the cyclone prone areas of Guntur district. We have provided them with nutritious food, medical care, and psychosocial support. We have also strengthened their resilience and preparedness by conducting disaster risk reduction activities and awareness campaigns.

Our project is ongoing, as we continue to work with the cyclone and flood affected communities in Andhra Pradesh to help them recover from their losses and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Your donations will make a lasting impact on their lives, as well as on the environment and the society.

During this quarter, we received only US 230 donations for this project. Fortunately, there were no major cyclones or other disasters. However, we still need your help to sustain our project and reach more people in need.

We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for your generous support to our project Cyclone and Floods Relief in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Thanks to your donations, we have been able to provide emergency relief and rehabilitation to 150 floods affected families in Renigunta, Thirupathi and cyclone prone villages in Guntur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the past two years.

And also, we are distributing essential nutrition ration kits to 50 vulnerable children in Guntur through this project.

And also, we are continiouly operating an elderly care program at Cyclone Prone village in Guntur district. 50 Elderly people receive daily meals through this project.

Our emergency relief volunteer team is always ready to work in the disaster affected areas along with the local government to provide urgent relief efforts.

During this quarter we received only US 19 donations for this project.

In September 2021, heavy rains triggered by a low-pressure system caused severe flooding in several districts of Andhra Pradesh, killing at least 25 people, displacing over 20,000 people and inundating hundreds of villages. Still floods affected families are not normalised due to poverty. Besides Covid impact, many families do not get enough income to support their families.

We are so sad to inform you that currently India is severely affected with heavy rains and floods in many locations and many thousands of people are displaced and affected.

We appeal to you to kindly donate generously to our project as we strive to help the cyclone and flood affected families in Andhra Pradesh recover from their losses and rebuild their lives. Your donations will make a difference in improving their living conditions, restoring their livelihoods, enhancing their resilience and reducing their vulnerability to future disasters.

We humbly request you to kindly support again to this project to provide urgent essential food and household supplies to flood affected families in Andhra Pradesh.
