Deploy 10,000 Mosquito Nets to 2,000 Families

Since the last report, the project has continued to advance through planning, community engagement, and preparation for the procurement and distribution of mosquito nets. The project remains focused on raising the full $50,000 funding target required to deploy 10,000 WHO-approved insecticide-treated mosquito nets to 2,000 vulnerable families in Niger State.

At this stage, $0 has been received toward the project goal, leaving $50,000 outstanding. There are currently 0 donors and 0 monthly donors, making additional donor support the immediate priority. No project funds have yet been spent, and implementation activities requiring direct expenditure remain pending until sufficient funding is secured.

During this period, preliminary supplier engagement, beneficiary identification planning, community mobilization, logistics preparation, and coordination with local health workers have remained key areas of focus. These preparations are intended to ensure that funds can be deployed efficiently once received.

The next major milestone is to raise enough funding to procure and distribute the first batch of 2,000 mosquito nets. Continued financial support will enable the project to move from preparation to active implementation and bring malaria prevention directly to vulnerable children, pregnant women, and families across the target communities.
