Develop Leadership Skills for 500 PLWD in Nigeria

Thank you for supporting this project to develop leadership skills for 500 people living with disabilities (PLWD) in Nigeria. Your support can help empower PLWD to take active roles in community and organizational decision-making, amplifying their voices and influence.

PLWD in Nigeria often face barriers to leadership due to limited access to training, inaccessible programs, and societal stigma. Few hold positions in governance or community organizations, leaving their perspectives underrepresented in policies and programs that affect their lives.

This project provides scholarships and structured leadership training, combining workshops, mentorship, and practical exercises. Participants will develop skills in communication, strategic planning, and organizational leadership, with assistive learning materials and accessible online courses ensuring full participation. By equipping PLWD with these skills, the project increases confidence, knowledge, and their ability to influence change.

Over time, graduates will take on leadership roles in communities and organizations, improving policies, reducing stigma, and inspiring others to pursue leadership. Increased PLWD participation creates a more inclusive society and strengthens community decision-making.

At this stage, donations received are not yet sufficient to launch the project, but we remain hopeful that with your support, we can begin training and empowering these future leaders.
