COVID-19 Do Not Stop Them

At DEHVI Foundation we continue to promote the development of early childhood, their families and communities, despite the challenges currently imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. During this context, our daily work has been redefined, focusing on the following:

-For the boys and girls who remain attending our children's centers, we have adopted all the necessary hygiene and safety measures to guarantee their health and well-being.

-Unfortunately, many of the kids are not attending our centers because they live in communities with a high rate of contagion by the COVID-19, so we also carry out pedagogical activities to promote their development, through technological resources and the use of social media.

-We also provide support to their families, which are having a difficult time to satisfy their basic needs due to the pandemic. Our support has been through the delivery of food, hygiene and cleaning goods, that ensure their adequate nutrition and allow them to be healthy and strong in times when good health is essential.

-Considering that many families have lost their jobs or have suffered a decrease in their finances due to the social and economic crisis caused by the pandemic, we provide support in the search for employment opportunities, by posting offers on our social media.

- We offer emotional support to children and their families in these difficult times, by following up their particular situations, as well as with campaigns about mental health, against family violence, among other important topics.
