Most nursing and midwifery schools in Nigeria lack updated textbooks and learning materials. Students rely on outdated books or must share limited copies. This project will donate 8,500 textbooks and reference guides covering anatomy, obstetrics, pharmacology, and more. Access to quality books will help students study, prepare for exams, and graduate with better skills for patient care.
Students in nursing and midwifery schools often lack access to current books. Most libraries are outdated, with torn or obsolete materials. This affects learning and exam performance. Many students cannot afford the recommended books, and group sharing is common. Without access to quality resources, future nurses and midwives struggle to build strong clinical knowledge.
This project will provide 8,500 new and relevant textbooks to selected nursing and midwifery schools. Books will cover core subjects and be distributed to libraries, classrooms, and individual students. This will improve daily study, reduce book shortages, and give students tools to better understand clinical content. The goal is to strengthen learning and graduation outcomes.
Students with access to quality books are more likely to complete training and pass exams. This project can lead to better-prepared nurses and midwives who deliver safer care in hospitals and communities. Well-stocked libraries also benefit future students. Over time, this can raise the overall standard of nursing and midwifery education in underfunded schools.
