Thank you very much for your support to our project dragonfruit social enterprise. Dragonfruit growing is new to our villages and growing them is unique in that one need to have concrete posts in which the plant will grow. This reporting period is the very first for this project and we are excited about its development. This is because the market for dragonfruit is lucrative, prices are stable and there are many health benefits. We are starting to distribute to farmers planting materials comprising mature stems that they can plant in their own farms. We were able to start this with 15 farmers and we hope to increase the number as we go on with project implementation. We will provide them with technical assistance as we go on with our implementation. Most notable will be the control of diseases of the plant as they are susceptible to virus infestation.
