Two years have passed since the two earthquakes that shook Mexico in September. From ONG Impacto, the process of recovery and rehabilitation of spaces has been continuous. In this second stage the number of social actors and beneficiaries increased.
Besides, It was possible to have incidence in other places such as the state of Puebla. The general objective of ONG Impacto has been to collect, manage, generate and bring resources to groupsor organizations affected by the 2017 earthquakes. All this would not have been possible without the generosity of each one of the donors, to whom we want to thank today.
During this last period, the affected groups were monitored: Cooperativa Mujeres Sembrando la Vida in Zinacantán, Cooperativa Tzeltal-Tzotzil in Pantelhó, Producers Mol Mentes in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Human Rights Center Digna Ochoa in Tonalá and Pijijiapan, Impacto en Colectivo México AC in Puebla and Café Museo Café in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
The reconstruction process created alliances, strengthened the social fabric of each community and sought the common good and improved quality of life with the reconstruction of adequate installations to live and continue the work and production processes. In total, 5,994 people has beenbenefit directly.
The interest and willingness of the different groups has been very important. The power to work as a team among parents, school principals, and other social actors that agreed and were committed to the process.
On behalf of all the communities and people benefited so far, we want to thank you again for your great generosity and support. We wishes you, your family and friends a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
